  Notes

Genghis W.Wheat (TWYFORD) is the highest yielding non fungicide treated  at 3.6t/ac in 4 years NIAB trials
Versus 3.1t untreated Shamrock and Claire. Treated yields ( with Strobilins) are 10-15% higher  with a 1 / 2 spray program
Genghis Shamrock & Claire are all available at similar prices ~£300/t - but place orders early.

        Disease Resistance against
          S.Tritici is  most important
          Genghis, Shamrock & Claire
          Have a rating of 7
equates to an 8% Yield loss
          If not sprayed
          Genghis S.Tritici & Eyespot
          resistance plus straw strength
make it ideally suited to the
          feed grower

Cost Effective Storage & processing:  in order of cost &  effectiveness
One pass dry at £8-12.50 to rmove 5% moisture to a safe 14-16% Moisture for year round storage
On Floor Low Volume Ventilation:  18% Moisture or less  blown by perforated "Drainage Pipe" + roll £2.50
Urea Treatment £7 + rolling - adds protein - roller placed on the high steel frame - approx £2.50 incl dust
Propcorn is to expensive versus urea treatment, but is a feedstuff, but poor application can feed spoilage moulds
Harvest Caustic £8/t - 25-50kg water and 30kg Caustic - only suitable for  6kg level of wheat ie 4 rolled 2 caustic
Crimping and chemical - 12-23/t  - plenty of opportunity to get ripped of on chemical cost
